When one door closes, another will open. That is exactly how our adventure began. With the retiring of a northern Michigan printer came the opportunity to purchase and expand on an existing client base and its production offerings.
In 2012 Decka Digital, LLC began by finding and remodeling what is our home – an empty warehouse at 1227 West Conway Road in Harbor Springs, Michigan. Digital presses, including specialty envelope equipment, started showing up on trucks and even though under construction, clients started to be assisted with a friendly greeting, a cup of coffee and an experienced ear. Our mission – “Old fashioned, hand shake customer service meets cutting edge, need it now technology on time, every time.” – quickly took hold and we have been fortunate to work with many amazing clients through our 8 month construction process. Don’t let our young age fool you. We are a different type of ‘new kid on the block’.
We began with a commitment not to produce a static arena of products – business cards, postcards and other standard collateral materials – but to truly listen, suggest and collaborate with clients to provide what is needed – 1, 100, 1000 or more copies – full color, single color, flat, folded or bound. It is the attitude of working together and creating a vision that will push us to continually reflect, improve and invest in the future of the industry and meet clients’ ever changing demands. We are committed to working with local vendors as an extension of us – no need to put a neighbor out of business just to save a few dollars on line.
And the driving force behind it all? Friends coming together as partners to step through a new door. A common goal of bringing back the friendly service of a slower time while embracing the technology that affords our clients the ability to be successful in their own ventures, on their own terms – personal or professional.
